Our Story

Westcon-Comstor is a global technology distributor and solutions provider. We specialise in distributing cybersecurity, networking, data centre, and cloud infrastructure solutions. 

Our approach stems from a genuine care and commitment to Partner Success. We pride ourselves on partnering with leading technology vendors to deliver the outcomes for our customers in more than 70 countries. 

Over the years, we’ve established ourselves as a trusted adviser in the IT channel, helping businesses navigate the complexities of the modern technology landscape. We combine our industry insight, technical know-how and decades of distribution experience to deliver business success for our vendors and partners.

Where it all began

In 1985, Thomas Dolan, Philip Raffiani and Roman Michalowski founded Westcon Associates in an upstate New York garage.

Westcon helped change the way computer products were sold, adding value by delivering technical support and training, as well as marketing and financing to small businesses.

In 1998, the business consolidated its value-added distribution business under the name Westcon Group. Comstor was brought into the fold a year later to create the business we know today – Westcon-Comstor.
